Wine-making process |Tasting

Wine-making process: Sandrine still remembers this sentence that she heard during her experiences: "even a mediocre winemaker will still make a good wine with good grapes." The opposite not being true, that's why she takes care of the vineyard so much.
It's by paying attention to the moon that she works in the vineyard whether it is for pruning, tillage, suckering or treatments. Regarding the work of the wine, again she tries to pay attention to the weather, just like former winemakers used to, but she especially takes into account planetary influences. Despite all of that, Sandrine also knows to use some modernism during the wine-making process of her wines, grape type by grape type, in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.

Tasting: Soft in the mouth, the Domaine de Lancement is a wine that was cultivated through an intense research for fruityness. Its deep ruby color, its very pronounced smell and its broad and suple attack on the palate will make this wine the perfect companion for grilled and roasted meats and cheeses. It would also be perfect for an aperitif while enjoying time with friends.

Come and discover and understand the work of the vineyard but also other activities of the domain including the outdoor Blonde d'Aquitaine herd that William takes care of. Every Monday and Wednesday at 17:00 on the dot July, August, and September

1Surface Area
         6 hectares.

2The Malbec
This is the king and original type of vine of the Cahors appellation. It endows the wine with a very deep color with violet hues. It provides a good structure in the mouth and consequently has a great aging potential. The aromas that are found are those of the violet and blackberries or even licorice. It represents 70% of our grape varieties.

3The Merlot
At the Domain of Lancement, we appreciate it for its roundness and the aromas that it gives our wines. It represents 30% of our grape varieties.

4Climate
The vineyards are located about 200 m above sea level and 10km from the Lot river. The daily temperature variation is thus more pronounced, increasing the aromatic potential of wines. They are under the influence of an oceanic climate but the southerly wind, also very present, allows for very beautiful months of September and October. Moreover, the distance from the ocean makes it so that the winters can be cold and the summers hot and dry, during which storms are sometimes violent.

5The Soil
The vines are planted on argilo-calcareous soils that are very draining. The hydric stress is a factor limiting yields.
