Located on the borders of the Lot-et-Garonne, at the limit of Causses du Quercy, the Domaine de Lancement (Domain of Lancement) is a property of about 120 ha of which only 6 ha are dedicated to vines and whose production was delivered in co-operative cellar until 2002. It is starting from the 2003 vintage that the "barn", dating from the 17th century, became a full fledged winery

With the passion and enthusiasm of youth, after a journey abroad and valuable experiences in several castles and domains of Bordeaux, Blayais and the vineyards of Cahors, Sandrine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Annibal, grape growers on this domain that challenges from its proud location the neighboring hills and country houses, is now bringing her experience, know-how and great expectations to the family domain.

A feminine approach and a necessary independence that allows her to listen to her vineyard, to put forth all her sensitivity in the processing of grapes, to birth "her" wine, to carefully age it and to offer it with ease to your curious palates.

Sandrine invites you every Monday and Wednesday from June to September to a guided tour of the property via tractor and trailer followed by drinks and snacks from the land

1Surface Area
         6 hectares.

2The Malbec
This is the king and original type of vine of the Cahors appellation. It endows the wine with a very deep color with violet hues. It provides a good structure in the mouth and consequently has a great aging potential. The aromas that are found are those of the violet and blackberries or even licorice. It represents 70% of our grape varieties.

3The Merlot
At the Domain of Lancement, we appreciate it for its roundness and the aromas that it gives our wines. It represents 30% of our grape varieties.

4Climate
The vineyards are located about 200 m above sea level and 10km from the Lot river. The daily temperature variation is thus more pronounced, increasing the aromatic potential of wines. They are under the influence of an oceanic climate but the southerly wind, also very present, allows for very beautiful months of September and October. Moreover, the distance from the ocean makes it so that the winters can be cold and the summers hot and dry, during which storms are sometimes violent.

5The Soil
The vines are planted on argilo-calcareous soils that are very draining. The hydric stress is a factor limiting yields.
